MATTHEW S. EVANS III

Matthew S. Evans, III is a director of the law firm of Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A. Mr. Evans joined the firm in 1999; his practice includes civil litigation, construction law and landlord-tenant law.

After graduating from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1998, Mr. Evans served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael E. Loney, Associate Judge, Fifth Circuit of Maryland.

Mr. Evans was admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland in 1998, in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in 1999, the District of Columbia in 2002, and in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in 2007.

Mr. Evans is active in the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Mr. Evans served as the co-chair of the Education Committee, Young Lawyers' Section, 2001-2002; as a Fellow of the Leadership Academy, 2001-2002; and as the Fifth Circuit Representative, Young Lawyers' Section, 2000-2001. Mr. Evans chaired the Anne Arundel County Bar Association New Lawyers Committee for the 2000-2001 term. Mr. Evans has also worked with MICPEL as an Editor for the Practice Manual for the Maryland Lawyer, 2002 to the present.

Mr. Evans also remains involved in the community, and is currently on the Board of Trustees for Scholarships for Scholars, Inc., he serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Marine Trades Association of Maryland, and was appointed by Mayor Ellen Moyer to serve on the Parking Commission of the City of Annapolis.
