JAMES
P. NOLAN
James
P. Nolan is the managing director of the law firm of Council, Baradel,
Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A.
Mr.
Nolan's practice includes general civil and criminal litigation,
business law, commercial law, construction law, real estate and
land use law and personal injury law.
In
addition to Mr. Nolan's extensive litigation and business experience,
he has been a leader in many bar, civic and business organizations.
He currently serves as Secretary of the National Conference of Bar Presidents and as a member of the House of Delegates of the
American Bar Association and the Board of the Maryland Bar Foundation.
He is a past President of the Maryland State and Anne Arundel County
Bar Associations and the Anne Arundel County Bar Foundation. He
is a member of the Boards of
the University of Baltimore Foundation, the Historic Annapolis Foundation and the Annapolis Community Foundation and is a member of the Annapolis Advisory Board of PNC Bank.
He is a past Chair of the Board of Severn School, a past Co-Chair
of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Executive Council of the National Conference
of Bar Presidents and the Board of the Annapolis Banking and Trust Company.
Mr.
Nolan was admitted to the Maryland bar in 1974. He is also admitted
to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Fourth Circuit Court
of Appeals, and U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
He is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Maryland
Bar Foundation and the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
