Kevin M. Schaeffer is a director of the law firm of Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A.

Kevin M. Schaeffer is a director of the law firm of Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A. Mr. Schaeffer began his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable E. Mackall Childs of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. Since 1980, Mr. Schaeffer has concentrated his practice in the areas of Domestic Law, Contract Disputes, and Civil Litigation. He is a past-President of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association (AABA), is the current Chairman of the AABA's Barrister Newsletter Committee, and was recipient of the 1999 AABA President's Award for contributions to the Association. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association, and has held membership on the Board of Trustees of Indian Creek School, among other organizations.

Over his 27 years in practice, he has acquired substantial experience in the trial courts of the local counties as well as the federal courts of Maryland. He has also participated in numerous negotiations and mediations over the years, acting as a court-appointed mediator or trustee in several cases. Mr. Schaeffer is married to Donna Schaeffer of this firm and together they have three children.

Mr. Schaeffer has been admitted to the Maryland bar since 1979. He is also admitted to the bars of the Federal District Court (District of Maryland) and the U.S. Court of Appeals (4th Circuit).
