SUSAN STOBBART SHAPIRO

Susan Stobbart Shapiro is a director of the law firm of Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A.

Mrs. Shapiro's practice has been primarily devoted to civil litigation, including an emphasis in employment law and business disputes. Her practice also includes assisting employers and employees in drafting and negotiating employment contracts and noncompete agreements, and assisting employers in creating, reviewing and revising employee handbooks. She has acted as an independent investigator for companies accused of harassment and/or discrimination and has spoken at company meetings about how to avoid and handle employment law matters.

Mrs. Shapiro was named as a top lawyer in Baltimore Magazine’s April 2003 issue on “Top Lawyers: The Next Generation”.

Mrs. Shapiro was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1994, the bars of Maryland and New Jersey in 1995, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in 1998, the District of Columbia bar in 2000, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in 2002, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2003.
